Unsportsmanlike! Graz announces the Haudum transfer
The Graz ice hockey club may have a lot of money recently - but it certainly doesn't have a lot of manners! Because announcing a transfer between two quarter-final games of a rival club is actually a no-go. Nevertheless, the Styrians announced the definite transfer of KAC striker Lukas Haudum.
The Graz 99ers announced their first two new signings at a press conference on Friday morning. With bomber Kevin Roy from Innsbruck - and KAC ace Lukas Haudum. This had been known in ice hockey circles for a long time - but a release between two play-off games of his current club is completely unsportsmanlike and is also not welcomed in the league.
Haudum signed for three years
Haudum even got carried away and made a statement in the official press release: "I like the 99ers' plans very much and it looks like we will hopefully be at the top of the league next season with a very good squad. Of course it's difficult to be successful from the start with a completely new team, but I think it's in everyone's interest to become a unit as quickly as possible and play at the top." The Upper Austrian signed with the Styrians for three seasons.
