Sabine Lisicki is going to be a mom – and announces comeback
Sabine Lisicki in baby bliss! The German tennis ace and her partner are expecting their first child in the fall. At the same time, the 2013 Wimbledon finalist and four-time WTA tournament winner revealed that she will return to the tour after giving birth.
"Life has many surprises in store for you, including this one. My fiancé and I are looking forward to an exciting journey. It also means I have to make another comeback." With this post on her Instagram page, Sabine Lisicki revealed her "sweet secret" on International Women's Day today.
"Still have a lot planned"
"Anyone who knows me knows that I love tennis and still have a lot planned on the court," Lisicki trumpets.
The recent tournament victory in Calgary underlines her great passion for the sport. "With what still lies ahead of me, I'm already looking forward to the moment when I return to the WTA Tour as a mother," said the 34-year-old.
