Rescue with cordless screwdriver: “Kira” got stuck

The HFW Villach had to be called out with cordless screwdrivers on Wednesday. The little dog "Kira" had gotten stuck under wooden boards on a terrace.

The worried owner immediately called the fire department when her little dog named "Kira" disappeared under the wooden terrace of a house in Villach and never reappeared. "We immediately set out with five men to rescue the animal," reports Chief Fire Officer Alexander Scharf from Villach main fire station.

"After a brief investigation, the emergency report was confirmed at the scene," continued Scharf, "Kira was no longer able to get back and forth on his own because he was so unhappily stuck under the wooden boards of the terrace." The firefighters used a cordless screwdriver to remove two boards and quickly freed "Kira" - the little dog was handed over to the owner unharmed.
