Carinthia’s butchers are in the starting blocks

Half of Lent is already over! In just over three weeks, a delicious Easter snack will be served up again.

Carinthia's butchers are well prepared, as the rush for sausages, ham and other delicacies is already underway - half of Lent is over. "Easter business is better than ever this year. Carinthians are already busy pre-ordering and we are receiving orders almost every ten minutes," says Raimund Plautz, provincial and federal guild master of butchers. Traditional Easter ham, beef tongues, roast pork and smoked sausages are particularly popular again.

Order in good time
Cold meat platters, where the food is already prepared, are also becoming increasingly popular. "Many customers no longer freeze the meat beforehand, but want to pick up their Easter snack directly on Good Friday or Holy Saturday. In times like these, where the offer is dominated by fresh preparation, this is becoming more and more noticeable. It is therefore advisable to place orders as early as possible so that longer waiting times can be reduced," says Plautz.

"Short on time": enough supply
At Frierss Spezialitäten, there are even offers for last-minute shoppers right up to the last minute before Easter. "We are prepared and always find a solution - nobody goes home to the Easter bunny without ham!" concludes Larissa Rikal, a Frierss employee.
