Instagram filter, Photoshop or the beauty doctor? Shania Twain has shocked her fans with her latest Instagram photo. It's not just her new hair color that makes the singer almost unrecognizable.

A few days ago, Shania Twain showed off her new hair color on Instagram. The singer had opted for pink at the hairdresser - the same color that Megan Fox is currently sporting.

But the fact that fans can hardly believe their eyes when they see the snapshot is not necessarily due to the 59-year-old's eye-catching hair. Twain is almost unrecognizable in the photo.

"I thought it was a photo of Sofia Vergara," wrote one fan in the comments. Another added: "Okay, but why did I see Avril Lavigne first?" "Shania Kardashian," joked another.

Other fans simply wrote: "That doesn't look like her", or: "I didn't recognize you at all." One of them sums up what many probably suspect: "Beauty surgeries ... a real shame." And another explained: "They all have to go to the same surgeon - they're clones."

Twain spoke out against beauty surgeries
Around a year ago, the country icon, who became famous with songs such as "You're Still The One" and "That Don't Impress Me Much", said that she had no plans for cosmetic surgery. 

"I've reached a point where I'm saying: No, I'm not going to do it," Twain emphasized in a podcast interview. And justified her decision by saying that although she has friends "who have had very successful operations, I have also seen others who have not been so successful".
