Ex-supermodel Elle Macpherson is back on the catwalk: at almost 60 years old, the Australian walked the catwalk at the opening of the Melbourne Fashion Festival - for the first time in 14 years.

At the show in Melbourne, the toned fashion icon showed that she still lives up to her nickname "The Body". Among others, she presented creations by young Australian fashion labels such as Bianca Spender, Ngali and Viktoria & Woods.

Support for young designers
She explained to the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper why she had chosen this show for her comeback: "I have a passion for supporting Australian fashion and young designers, and I love Melbourne."

She last walked for Louis Vuitton in Paris in March 2010 before moving on to other things. Macpherson is particularly successful with "WelleCo", her own brand of healthy nutritional supplements and feel-good products.

60s just around the corner
Macpherson, who celebrates her milestone birthday on March 29, has also been successful as an actress in the past. Among other things, she repeatedly appeared in the hit series "Friends" at the end of the 1990s. From 2010 to 2013, she presented "Britain's Next Top Model". Last year, she appeared as a guest judge on Heidi Klum's "Germany's Next Top Model".
