Biden expects Trump to challenge him if he wins

US President Joe Biden believes that his rival Donald Trump would not accept defeat in the presidential election. "I think he will do everything he can to win," said Biden. "If I win, I think he will challenge the result."

Donald Trump, who was voted out of office at the time, had already contested the election result in 2020, claiming that he had been deprived of a new term in office by electoral fraud. "I'm the only one who has ever beaten him," said US President Joe Biden now. He considers himself to be the best possible Democratic candidate to stand up to Trump. However, the 81-year-old is rather unpopular among voters, partly due to his advanced age. Several polls currently see his challenger in the lead (see video above).

Defending democracy as a campaign promise
Meanwhile, Biden continues to focus on his central campaign promise - defending democracy. "In a democracy, how can we elect someone as president who says violence is acceptable?" he said in an interview with The New Yorker.

Tuesday, March 5, is Super Tuesday, when primaries will be held in 15 US states. The results are considered a decisive political vote on the way to the nomination as candidate. Trump's last remaining intra-party challenger, Nikki Haley, is considered to have little chance. The presidential election itself is scheduled for November 5.
