Two perpetrators on the run

Evening manhunt after robbery in Innsbruck

Many emergency services in uniform, the police helicopter over Innsbruck - a large-scale manhunt was launched on Monday evening after a robbery in the west of Innsbruck.

The attempted robbery took place at around 6 pm. The scene was Kranebitter Allee near house 152. The victim - a 20-year-old Italian - is said to have been attacked by two unknown perpetrators. They demanded that he hand over his wallet and cell phone. The man fought back and suffered superficial injuries to his arms and hands during the altercation.

The strangers then fled in a westerly direction. They are said to be two men. One of them was about 170 cm tall and slim, the second about 180 cm tall and stocky. 

Two fugitives
A large-scale manhunt was launched for the two fugitives. Several police patrols, a dog squadron and the "Libelle" police helicopter were deployed. The manhunt ended in the evening with no results.
