Incident in Kufstein

43-year-old found unconscious on the street

Witnesses and the emergency services were initially puzzled when they found an unconscious person in the middle of Kufstein on Monday night. Investigations soon revealed that an accident was probably the cause.

At around midnight, a police patrol was called to the Marktgasse in Kufstein, where a motionless person had been found lying on the ground. When the patrol arrived, several passers-by were already busy administering first aid and the casualty was unresponsive.

Transfer to Innsbruck Hospital
The police officers took over the first aid measures and the emergency services arrived at the scene a short time later. The person, a 43-year-old man, had a severely bleeding head injury and was first taken to Kufstein Hospital and then to Innsbruck Hospital.

Accident reconstructed
Based on the investigations and interviews carried out so far, it can be assumed that the 43-year-old was riding a bicycle without a helmet, collided with a street lamp, fell and sustained a serious head injury. The man has not yet been questioned about the circumstances of the accident.
