Investigation underway
Girl ranking: There is a first suspect
The noose of the investigation is tightening: the perpetrator or perpetrators who publicly exposed 223 schoolgirls from the Auhof Grammar School in Linz on a website during the semester break are already in the sights of the judiciary. At least one suspect is known by name.
"There is a suspect and there are still unknown perpetrators," confirms Ulrike Breiteneder, spokesperson for the Linz public prosecutor's office. According to information from the "Krone" newspaper, the alleged perpetrator is said to be a former pupil. However, he has not yet been questioned.
223 girls exposed
On February 25, the last day of the semester break, shortly after 9 p.m., a "ranking list" with the data of 223 girls from the upper school went online on a dedicated homepage.
In addition to the ratings, the names and pictures of the girls were also available, but visitors had no opportunity to submit their own ratings or comments. Just two hours later, the website had disappeared again.
