Mariah Carey gave in to her daughter’s big wish

"Mommy gives in". With this hashtag, Mariah Carey informs the world that she has given in to her daughter's wishes. 

The 54-year-old writes on Instagram that Monroe has finally got the hairstyle she has wanted for a long time. To be more precise, the 12-year-old has now been allowed to straighten her curls for the first time.

Straight hair
The diva shows the result in a photo. In this one, Monroe's straight hair falls almost to navel height and she sticks her tongue out at her mom. Mariah's comment: "The days of 'You can't straighten your hair' are over"

Carey is not the only parent of Monroe and twin brother Moroccan who would love to stop time.

"Time flies too fast"
Dad Nick Cannon told People how stunned he is that his kids will be 13 in April: "It's just crazy. 13 is a big age. I can still remember being that age myself. In five years they'll be in college and grown up. Time just flies too fast." 

Cannon has ten other children with multiple women. That means he will experience this phase several more times.
