Sensation missed
Glasner dissatisfied: “Have to start thinking”
Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner complained about the lack of intensity after the defeat against Tottenham. However, he had also seen a good performance from his team. The weak points will now be worked on.
Glasner was satisfied with his team's performance over long stretches, but in the end they missed out on the sensation against Tottenham. According to the Austrian, this was mainly due to the fact that they were unable to maintain their intensity throughout the match.
Glasner had seen some improvements in defense in particular. They now want to build on this and work on the remaining weak points.
Ten fatal minutes
A 1-0 lead at fifth-placed Tottenham turned into a 3-1 defeat in the space of around ten minutes. "Most of the game took place in our half. But you have to cause your opponents problems, you have to make them think," said the 49-year-old.
This was not successful and the pressure from the favorites was ultimately too great. In future, Glasner wants to prevent such a collapse towards the end of the game.
