Sailing: Vadlau/Mähr tenth in the medal race!

Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr have finished tenth in the medal race of the top 10 at the Sailing World Championships in the Olympic 470 class off Palma de Mallorca (ESP)! 

In the last two races of the gold fleet they finished sixth and 16th in strong winds on Saturday, with the Spaniards Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman taking the lead. For the Austrian duo, a medal on Sunday is only theoretically possible.

"It's not going as smoothly as it should!"
"We had nothing to lose today and went full attack. We did quite well in the first race. In the second race, the start didn't work out for us," said helmswoman Vadlau. "It's still not going as smoothly as it should. But we're confident that we'll get it right by Marseille." The Olympic regatta will take place there in the summer.
