Linz-Froschberg loses 0:3 in the CL semi-final

Linz AG Froschberg clearly lost their home match in the semi-finals of the Women's Table Tennis Champions League.

The Upper Austrians were beaten 3-0 by the Polish defending champions Tarnobrzeg on Thursday and now only have a slim chance of reaching the final for the seventh time. The second leg against the three-time Champions League winners will take place on Saturday (6 p.m.) in Tarnobrzeg.

In the opening match, Sofia Polcanova lost 0:3 to 45-year-old Portuguese player Yu Fu. "Nothing went right. Her balls were so uncomfortable for me," explained Polcanova in the ORF interview. Ivana Malobabic then had no chance against Yang Xiaoxin, as expected, losing 0:3. Suthasini Sawettabut then lost 2:3 against Elizabeta Samara.
