Last Saturday, Mr. B. took his wife to the nearby Donaustadt clinic due to sudden heart symptoms. There she was immediately given artificial respiration and taken to the intensive care unit. However, the necessary cardiac examination could not be carried out because the required equipment (coronary container) was not available that day.

For your information: Every hospital has a coronary container where heart patients are examined - however, the hospitals alternate the treatments on a daily basis, so the containers are only in operation in two Viennese hospitals at a time. Due to the lack of equipment in Donaustadt, the patient was transferred to Klinik Landstraße on the same day. However, the coronary container there is defective. The woman is still waiting for her examination. The health association explains that such a special examination is not necessarily required for every patient.
