Feller angry: “He’s never raced himself”
Manuel Feller is shaking his head! The Tyrolean criticizes the dense program with four technical weekends en suite. "Whoever planned this has certainly never raced himself," said Feller ahead of the races in Aspen.
The 31-year-old referred to jet lag, five races in nine days and Kranjska Gora the following weekend. "That's almost a bit reckless for people who ski giant slalom and slalom," Feller had already emphasized after his victory in Palisades Tahoe on Sunday.
Numerous injuries already
The calendar planners have already been presented with the bill with numerous injuries this winter, added Feller. In Aspen, where the conditions for the athletes seem comparatively difficult, the giant slalom that was canceled in Sölden will be postponed. The men will compete in three races (two giant slaloms and one slalom) from Friday to Sunday next weekend before returning to Europe.
In sporting terms, the slalom Sunday is of course a priority for the discipline leader, which is why Feller announced: "I'll be racing on Friday, take a break on Saturday and then do another good slalom on Sunday."
