Animal hater simply abandoned guinea pigs

Recently, a man from Salzburg stood in front of the Pfotenhilfe animal welfare center with a box full of guinea pigs. He had found them in the middle of a meadow in Fürstenbrunn - apparently they had been unscrupulously abandoned there. 

Pfotenhilfe took the quartet in and discovered that there were four girls and that they even had bald patches due to an untreated skin fungus. The condition of their fur also suggests that they were kept indoors and would therefore hardly have survived due to a lack of food and the current night-time temperatures.

Clues sought
Information is now being sought about the perpetrator, as the abandonment of animals is punishable by up to two years imprisonment if they are unable to survive in the wild. It would also be important to know how the animals were kept, whether there are any other animals that have been abandoned and whether they are possibly pregnant.
