Bus crashes into café at Dornbirn railroad station

A spectacular accident occurred on Saturday in the trade fair city of Dornbirn. A bus driver lost control of her vehicle on Bahnhofsplatz and crashed into a parked car. The bus then ended up in a café bar. 

The driver and another employee, who was supposed to instruct the woman on her first journey on route 151, are unlikely to forget the bus journey in a hurry. When the 45-year-old woman wanted to take the passengers of the articulated bus from Dornbirn station towards Bregenz, she initially steered to the right, but was then told that she had to turn left. The driver then lost control of the yellow monster.

This first crashed into a parked car, which was then pushed onto the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian. The articulated bus ultimately landed on the concrete pillar of a café bar.

Most of the passengers escaped with a fright. However, the accident ended less well for two people. One passenger and the pedestrian who had been hit by the car were slightly injured. They were taken to hospital. The bus, car and building sustained considerable material damage.
