A serious traffic accident on the Inntal highway in Tyrol on Thursday morning! Five vehicles crashed into each other near Innsbruck-West in the direction of Kufstein. As only the emergency lane was open to traffic in the meantime, the traffic jam stretched back around ten kilometers to Zirl. One person was slightly injured.

Shortly before 7 a.m., there was a rear-end collision on the A12 for unknown reasons. Five vehicles were involved. "There was one minor injury", according to the police. This was the driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his mid-40s.

The closure has now been lifted
The pile-up naturally also caused chaos in the early morning traffic. The ÖAMTC estimated the temporary loss of time at around one hour.

Miles of traffic jams also formed on the alternative routes in the surrounding area. The closure of both lanes was lifted again shortly after 8 am.
