Bridge collapse in the Netherlands: two dead

At least two people were killed when a bridge under construction collapsed in the Netherlands. In addition, at least two people were injured in the accident on Wednesday in Lochem in the east of the country. The cause is still unclear.

"An industrial accident occurred during the construction of a bridge," it was announced. "Unfortunately, two people died and two others were injured."

"All of a sudden there was a big bang"
The workers were in the process of erecting bridge arches when the accident happened. "All of a sudden there was a big bang," reported a reporter from the local newspaper "De Stentor". "The entire arch started to swing. Then the whole structure fell down."
