Ten-year-old girl injured in traffic accident
There were two tragic traffic accidents on the B50 in Burgenland on Thursday. First, a cyclist was hit. Just under an hour later, a little girl was injured in a crash.
At around 10 a.m., a 66-year-old driver was driving with her ten-year-old granddaughter on the B50 in the municipality of Marz in the direction of Sieggraben. At the same time, a 75-year-old car driver wanted to continue on the B50 in the direction of Sportplatzgasse. For reasons as yet unknown, the two vehicles collided with each other.
Ten-year-old girl taken to hospital
The 10-year-old girl was injured to an indeterminate degree. She was taken to Eisenstadt Hospital by the ambulance service; the two drivers were uninjured. The vehicles were badly damaged in the collision and had to be towed away by the Marz fire department.
Cyclist collides with car
Just under an hour earlier, there was a crash on the side road of the B50 in Stankt Georgen am Leithagebirge. A 47-year-old cyclist collided with a car driven by an 80-year-old driver on the side road of the B50 in Stankt Georgen am Leithagebirge for unknown reasons.
The 47-year-old was injured to an indeterminate degree and was taken to Eisenstadt Hospital by ambulance after first aid. The driver of the car remained uninjured.
