Arsenal of weapons at home
Teenager came to collect debts with a gun
Two boys who were involved in a dispute in Upper Austria were apparently bad role models. It was about money and one of the opponents had come armed to collect the debt. And he also had a larger arsenal at home, which the police eventually cleared out.
On Sunday night, the duo met in the municipality of Brunnenthal near Schärding and the dispute over debts broke out.
To back up his demands, an 18-year-old from Innviertel took out a pistol that he had hidden under his sweater. He cocked the hammer and did target practice in front of his 16-year-old opponent. He also threatened the young German that he would shoot him.
As if that wasn't enough, the older man also showed off a machete that he had fastened in his waistband.
Guns and ammunition at home
But then the man from Innviertel suddenly turned around and ran away. He hid his weapons in a small wood, but police officers alerted by the 16-year-old found them - the pistol turned out to be a blank-firing weapon - and also unearthed a considerable cache of weapons from the accused: He had five guns including ammunition at home! The 18-year-old will be reported to the public prosecutor's office in Ried im Innkreis and the district authority in Schärding. He was also given a provisional weapons ban.
