No more sauna parties after “Russian party”

Linz AG has now drawn the consequences of the uproar surrounding a noisy alleged "Russian party" at the Hummelhof wellness oasis: private sauna parties are now prohibited.

 "It is understandable that sauna guests present outside the group involved felt disturbed and/or irritated by the individual birthday party. Lessons will be learned from the event. In future, there will be no more concessions or celebrations of this kind in the Linz AG sauna facilities," says spokeswoman Susanne Gillhofer.

Regular guest wanted to celebrate a birthday
The organizer was a regular guest who wanted to celebrate his birthday with a so-called "banya ritual" and had brought all the utensils himself. The sauna group had agreed to the ten-minute sauna ritual, which was accompanied by music. Now only heat will get the sauna-goers going.
