It's that time again: the 66th Opera Ball takes place in the sold-out State Opera House. krone.tv reports live from the studio from 6.45 pm to 10 pm, is on site at the demonstration and takes a look behind the scenes of state power with numerous guests and a colorful program.

The Opera Ball is an event for the "top five thousand". In times of inflation and the like, this doesn't suit everyone and so people are taking to the streets again this year to protest against it. The event is "a symbol of the immense inequality in society and, in times when even full-time workers have to cut back, a pure provocation", according to the Communist Youth. The demonstration starts at 7 p.m. krone.tv reporter Tanja Pfaffeneder will be reporting live from the scene.

Meanwhile, presenter Jana Pasching welcomes numerous guests to the krone.tv studio from 6.45 pm. Both supporters and opponents of the Opera Ball will have their say. How contemporary is the ball of balls in times of war and inflation? How important is it for politics and the economy? What is the history behind the Vienna State Opera and how much gossip and gossip potential do this year's guests offer? These are just some of the questions that will be answered on Thursday evening.

Adabei TV presenter Sasa Schwarzjirg will be there live on the evening of the ball and will report in the krone.tv live talk on Friday from 9.30 a.m. on what remained undiscovered for viewers away from the ORF cameras, thus revealing one or two Opernball secrets.
