Pedestrian run down: Accident driver fled

A guilty conscience is not a good pillow to rest on - according to this, a driver from Innviertel should not have slept a wink since Monday at 0.38 am. Because the ominous driver knocked down a pedestrian in Kirchdorf am Inn (Upper Austria), left the seriously injured man lying on the ground and committed a hit-and-run.

An accident with personal injury occurred in Kirchdorf am Inn at around 0.38 a.m. on Monday, whereby the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident is unknown. An emergency call was made to report an injured person on the B148 Altheimer Straße at the Simetsham junction.

Taken to hospital
A 35-year-old German man suffered serious injuries for unknown reasons, presumably as a result of the collision with a hit-and-run vehicle on the B148. After initial treatment by the emergency services and the ambulance, the man was taken to hospital by ambulance. The witnesses present at the scene and the 35-year-old man have not yet been able to provide any useful information about the course of the accident or the hit-and-run vehicle.
