The newcomer as the big winner: RIAN takes three megaphones

The Austrian music scene rewarded its best for the 25th time with the Amadeus Austrian Awards in 14 categories. The big winner is RIAN. 

This year, 47 musicians were eager to see if they could take home one of the coveted monster megaphones. The major Austrian music prize was awarded in 14 categories yesterday at an anniversary gala hosted by Conchita Wurst and Andi Knoll in the Marx Halle.

The Lifetime Achievement Award for the Seer, who have retired from the stage, came as no surprise. But there was a big one for RIAN. He became famous with his TikTok clips and, after his Amadeus debut, can now add three trophies to his shelf.

Wanda won an award for the best album ("Ende nie"), while the successful duo Pizzera & Jaus were rewarded for the best live act. Only BIBIZA, who was ill, was unable to receive his award ("Best Sound") in person.
