Ukraine: Drone attacks after scandal at the White House

Shortly after a scandal between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi at the White House, Russia has once again attacked Ukraine with large swarms of combat drones. 

One person was killed and another injured in the Odessa region, according to Governor Oleh Kiper. Shortly after midnight local time on Saturday, there was an air alert in the eastern half of Ukraine, including the capital Kiev.

Several explosions were reported from the city of Kharkiv in the east. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, a medical facility where people were staying had been hit. A fire had broken out. For the time being, he is not giving any details about casualties.

Ukraine's situation now even more difficult
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for more than three years. Almost every night, the Eastern European country is attacked by Russia with drones and missiles. The situation in Ukraine has become even more difficult following the rift between Trump and Zelenskyi in Washington on Friday.
