Israel to cease all contact with UNRWA

In the wake of the ban on all activities of the UN Palestinian Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) on Israeli territory, Israel will in future break off even indirect contacts with the organization.

"Israel will end all cooperation, communication and contact with UNRWA and all those acting on its behalf," declared the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, on Tuesday before a meeting of the UN Security Council in New York.

The Israeli government accuses UNRWA employees of being involved in the major attack by the radical Islamic Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.
