Zellweger’s radiant comeback as Bridget

Renée Zellweger (55) is back as the lovable, clumsy "Bridget Jones" - and with her Hugh Grant as her former lover and a lot of love chaos. At the film premiere in Paris on Monday evening, both appeared relaxed and visibly pleased with their comeback. 

Zellweger charmed at the screening in a one-shoulder lace dress alongside Hugh Grant, who appeared in a dark suit with an open white shirt. Quite "Daniel Cleaver".

A little ache
Zellweger is said to have injured her finger shortly before the premiere. A plaster could be seen on her hand.

Young lover
The movie is again based on a novel by Helen Fielding. Jones is struggling with the death of her husband Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) and is raising two children alone. Her former lover Daniel Cleaver (Grant) now acts as a kind of funny uncle to the two of them.

Encouraged by those around her, Jones finally starts dating again - and her new lover is considerably younger than her. "I had mind-expanding sex all night and it was fantastic!" announces Jones, who is probably working as a TV producer again, one day - accidentally on camera.

Emma Thompson and Jim Broadbent are other film stars returning to their roles. Grant said of the sequel in an interview: "It's not only very funny, but also very, very sad." The director of "Bridget Jones - Crazy for Him" is Michael Morris.
