Finger caught in circular saw: worker seriously injured

Fatal work accident in Ötztal-Bahnhof in Tyrol on Wednesday! A young worker (19) got caught in a circular saw while doing woodwork. The man suffered a serious injury.

The serious accident happened at 12.45 pm. The 19-year-old was cutting wooden stakes at a company in Ötztal-Bahnhof. "In the course of this, he came into contact with the circular saw with the index finger of his left hand", according to the police.

Taken to Innsbruck hospital
The young worker suffered serious injuries in the accident. His colleagues provided first aid and set the rescue chain in motion. After initial treatment by the ambulance service, he was taken to the hospital in Innsbruck.
