Missing teenager was found in front of friend’s garage

After a Christmas party, there was a major search operation for a missing 19-year-old in Altenfelden. The police found the teenager unharmed in front of a friend's garage at around 3.40 am.

At least someone must have had fun: A 19-year-old attended a Christmas party in Altenfelden on Friday evening. Shortly before 11 pm, he phoned his mother and asked her to pick him up. She then set off in search of her son, who was obviously heavily intoxicated. Because she did not find him until 1.30 a.m. and his cell phone was also switched off, she raised the alarm with the police.

Three fire departments were alerted
Three fire departments were also called to the search operation at night. "We had already divided up the crews as to who was going where, then the all-clear was given," says Jakob Bröderbauer, commander of the Altenfelden fire brigade. The police found the 19-year-old unharmed in front of a friend's garage at around 3.40 am.

There was a similar case last year: an 18-year-old fell asleep drunk on a pile of snow on his way home from a Christmas party in Kematen/Krems. A local resident found the unresponsive boy in time in sub-zero temperatures.
