330 million euros: Rosenbauer secures loan

A lack of official approvals from the Arabian region has delayed the entry of the consortium led by Stefan Pierer, Mark Mateschitz and Raiffeisen OÖ into Rosenbauer. In the meantime, the fire equipment supplier has managed to set an important course: Ma agreed a 330 million euro loan with the company's banks.

The consortium led by Stefan Pierer, Mark Mateschitz and Raiffeisen Oberösterreich must complete the acquisition by the end of February 2025 in order to keep its word to the principal banks and obtain fresh money. 119 million euros will flow into Rosenbauer International through the acquisition of a new block of shares - money that is needed to increase equity.

No dividend for 2024 and 2025
Apart from this, liquidity is also needed to continue ongoing operations. And this has now been secured. An agreement was reached with the main lenders, as the Leonding-based company calls them, on refinancing of 330 million euros. The condition for obtaining the loan, which runs until December 2027, was the concession to suspend dividend payments in the 2024 and 2025 financial years.

With revenues of 1.064 billion euros and around 4300 employees, Rosenbauer is the largest firefighting equipment supplier in the world. With a sales and service network, the company from Upper Austria is represented in around 120 countries worldwide.

Orders worth more than two billion euros secured
After difficult years in which the company first had to cut costs and is now working hard to process orders more quickly, Rosenbauer has recovered. The order backlog at the end of the first half of 2024 amounted to more than two billion euros.
