Why new elections in Klagenfurt won’t help either

The prevailing standstill in the town hall would remain even with a new government ...

For what feels like an eternity, pure chaos has reigned in Klagenfurt's town hall, where gridlock is rampant. It is therefore understandable that there are calls for new elections. But if the people of Klagenfurt were to go to the ballot box, it would probably be a waste of time - and money.

After all, all parties have few alternatives in their own ranks and so the same players would once again enter the stage, albeit in a different constellation. As a result, the following image would continue to exist: An SPÖ that is gunning for Team Carinthia and continues to cause gridlock with one blockade after another.

A Team Kärnten that lives in constant fear of being legally prosecuted by its competitor. Rumbling Neos and ÖVP members and Freedom Party members who don't want to get involved in the sometimes childish discussions and therefore keep their feet still. But if not even a new election in the town hall offers an alternative, what then?
