Tyrolean woman (92) caught masked burglar duo

An elderly lady from Innsbruck must have had quite a fright when she suddenly noticed two burglars in her apartment. The perpetrators fled and used an unusual means to make pursuit more difficult.

At around 11 a.m. on Friday, in the middle of broad daylight, the two as yet unknown persons (probably male) entered the 92-year-old local woman's apartment in an as yet unknown manner and searched the rooms for valuables.

The 92-year-old noticed the burglars, whereupon they fled from the house in an unknown direction. In the course of their escape, the perpetrators sprayed pepper spray in the apartment and in the hallway of the apartment building; the lady remained unharmed.

Neighbor alerted the police
A neighbor alerted the police a short time later, who immediately launched a manhunt. Various items of jewelry were stolen from the apartment, the exact amount of damage has not yet been determined.
