Celebrate the premiere of “Out of the Pond” in Berlin

Adventure, action, humor and a breath of fresh air in the new animated hit "Out of the Pond" (in cinemas from 21.12.), when a family of ducks make their way south. After the hits "The Super Mario Bros. The Mallard duck family is stuck in the daily grind. While father Mack is content to run the same circles in the tranquil pond with his family forever, mother Pam wants to try something new and show her children - teenage son Dax and duckling Gwen - the whole wide world. When a family of migratory ducks lands on her pond, carrying exciting stories from far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to take a trip with cranky Uncle Dan via New York City to tropical Jamaica.

New experiences and new friends
But when the Mallards head south, their well-laid plans are quickly thrown into disarray. These new experiences will inspire them to broaden their horizons, open up to new friends and achieve more than they ever dared to dream. This includes learning more about each other - and even about themselves.

"Out of the Pond" was produced by Illumination Studios, whose best-known animated films include the "I - Simply Incorrigible" series and the mega-hit "The Super Mario Bros. Movie". The new Minions short film "Mooned" will be shown as a supporting movie in the cinema. The ducky fun was directed by Benjamin Renner, who has already received an Oscar nomination for "Ernest & Célestine".

The German voices are Elyas M'Barek (Fack ju Göhte franchise, Das perfekte Geheimnis) as duck dad Mack, Nazan Eckes (presenter: Extra - das RTL-Magazin, Let's Dance) as duck mom Pam, Julius Weckauf (Der Junge muss an die frische Luft, Catweazle, Die Drei ???) as duck teen son Dax, as well as Jorge González (Let's Dance, Free Birds) as parrot Delroy and Nina Chuba (Wildberry Lillet) as city pigeon Chump.

"Out of the Pond" is about overcoming one's own fears and opening up to the world and its possibilities. Exclusively in cinemas from December 21, audiences can expect a visual spectacle with Illumination Studios' typical subversive humor, warmth of heart, unforgettable characters and a joyful soundtrack!
