Cows fell through barn floor: rescue operation

Two cows had a stroke of luck on Wednesday morning in Eisbach, north of Graz: they fell through the barn floor into a cavity. The fire department was able to rescue them unharmed.

The cavity under the barn was not even known to the farmer. On Wednesday morning, two cows suddenly broke through the floor and the farmer was unable to free them himself. He therefore alerted the Eisbach-Rein volunteer fire department.

With combined forces, the rescue was successful.(Bild: FF Eisbach-Rein)

They arrived with a fire engine and a large animal rescue kit specially designed for indoor use. The vet and the farmer himself also helped, and together they managed to free the two cows from their predicament. Fortunately, they remained unharmed.
