Bloody stabbing in Vienna: two arrests

There was a dangerous stabbing between several men in Vienna-Landstraße on Tuesday evening. The 32-year-old victim managed to alert the police in time.

Before the stabbing, there had been a violent family argument between the 18-year-old, 20-year-old and the victim (32). When the 18-year-old suddenly pulled out a knife, the situation escalated between all those involved.

Victim threatened to kill
The 32-year-old was injured on both forearms by the 18-year-old with the knife. As if that wasn't enough, the attacker handed his knife to the 20-year-old to continue. Shortly afterwards, he tried to stab the victim in the stomach and threatened to kill him.

Weapon recovered
The 32-year-old was able to get out of the way in time and immediately alerted the police. The two suspects were arrested by the officers shortly afterwards. The murder weapon was also recovered. 

The emergency services took the 32-year-old to hospital as quickly as possible. He has since been released. The background to the dispute is still unclear. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
