Scooter driver causes accident with a blood alcohol level of 1.96

On Wednesday evening, a Hungarian citizen was driving an e-scooter in his home town of Wels. When he ignored the red light at a traffic light, he collided with a car.

The 46-year-old Hungarian from Wels was driving his scooter out of town on Hans-Sachs-Straße at around 9.20 p.m. on Wednesday. At the same time, a 28-year-old man from Wels was driving his car in the opposite direction.

1.96 per mille
The 46-year-old ignored a red light at a crosswalk and collided with the younger man's car. Fortunately, both drivers were uninjured - a breathalyzer test on the scooter driver revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.96 per mille. He will be reported to the police.
