The fire investigation had not yet been fully completed after another hay bale caught fire on Saturday, a police spokesman said. However, the fire department was able to issue the "fire out" signal again.

It is certain that the tenant had been carrying out welding work in the workshop before the fire broke out - this is now suspected to be the cause.

House uninhabitable for the time being
The flames also spread to the adjoining farmhouse on Friday. It was badly damaged and uninhabitable for the time being. The 43-year-old man and his 29-year-old wife were able to get to safety in time, but a foal and a cat died. The owners were able to save three horses.

Fire department confronted with full fire
When the firefighters arrived, the barn was already fully engulfed in flames. The flames spread to the residential building and engulfed an electricity pylon, which had to be switched off. The barn and workshop were completely burnt out. The Tiroler Straße (B 171) had to be completely closed for more than two hours while the fire was extinguished.
