Burglars stole a safe from a store

While many people in the St. Veit district were drawn to the racecourse grounds at the Wiesenmarkt, burglars struck on Sunday night: their target was the office of a retail store.

The as yet unknown perpetrators broke into the store on Sunday night and ransacked the office.

From there they stole a safe - containing an as yet undetermined amount of cash. Which vehicle was used to transport the loot away is one of the many questions that the Friesach police are now seeking answers to.

The total amount of damage caused by the break-in and theft has not yet been determined.
