FC Pinzgau shakes its way to a three-pointer in Kitzbühel

FC Pinzgau are back to winning ways! In the supplementary match of the Regionalliga West, the Saalfelden team came away with a 1:0 victory - golden goal scorer: Philipp Zehentmayr. 

After the 0:5 debacle against Austria, FC Pinzgau had a lot to make up for in the Regionalliga West. The opportunity presented itself yesterday in the supplementary match in Kitzbühel - and was seized. Thanks to Philipp Zehentmayr's golden goal, the Saalfelden side secured a narrow 1:0 away win.

"We defended in a very disciplined manner," said a delighted coach Florian Klausner. "The first half was tighter, in the second we failed to take four or five top-class chances."

On Saturday, the Pinzgau team will face another tough opponent in Dornbirn. Klausner knows the Red Jackets' coach, Eric Orie, from their time together in Nuremberg: "I know the kind of soccer he wants to play."
