Tesla went up in flames in flooded garage

When a garage in Florida was flooded with seawater during Hurricane Helene, the Tesla inside caught fire. In just one minute, the electric vehicle was ablaze. An authority warned with a surveillance video.

The fire broke out under the video and spread to the entire vehicle within a very short time. The garage was filled with thick smoke. 

The Pinella County government warned on Facebook of similar incidents during the hurricane: 

The agency warned, "Electric vehicles that have been flooded with salt water can catch fire." People should not charge, drive or store electric vehicles in the house or garage. In addition, a distance of 15 meters from flammable material and a check in the garage is recommended.

Hurricane "Helene" claimed more than 90 lives
Hurricane Helene made landfall in the northwest of the state of Florida on Thursday. It was classified in the second-highest category and reached wind speeds of up to 225 kilometers per hour. More than 90 people died as a result of the strongest storm in this region to date. However, this figure could still rise.

South Carolina hit particularly hard
South Carolina was hit the hardest of all five US states affected. "It's a devastating blow, but we will get through this. Help is on the way, but it will take time," explained Governor Henry McMaster. Work is currently underway to restore water supply systems, communication networks and important transportation routes.
