“Eisenstadt helps” turns children into exercise heroes

A new sports sponsorship program is aimed at families who are not doing so well financially. Sponsorships are also possible. 

There are around 100 sports clubs in Eisenstadt. However, membership is sometimes also a question of money. The "Eisenstadt hilft" association has now launched the "Bewegungshelden" sports sponsorship scheme to enable children from less well-off families to take part in sports activities.

80 percent is paid
As part of the campaign, 80 percent of the membership fee is paid by the association. The remaining 20 percent is to be paid by the parents. "Every child should have the opportunity to be part of a sports club - regardless of the family's financial situation," say club chairman Mayor Thomas Steiner and deputy chairman Renée Maria Wisak.

Sponsorship possible
Anyone who would also like to support the "Bewegungshelden" campaign can take on a sponsorship. Every sponsor receives a Movement Heroes certificate as a thank you.
