Arsonists struck several times in Graz

In the middle of the night, at around 1 a.m. on Friday, a series of arson attacks began in Graz. Mopeds and garbage cans were set alight. The police have arrested a suspect. 

The police were called to Friedrichgasse in Graz at 1 a.m. on Friday: Several garbage cans were on fire there. The Graz professional fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly. Almost at the same time, there was another report of several mopeds on fire in Zimmerplatzgasse. This also affected the façade of the building.

And that was not all: shortly afterwards, another garbage can fire was reported, this time on Jakominiplatz. Fortunately, no one was injured and the amount of damage has not yet been finalized. 

The police discovered a 34-year-old man near Jakominiplatz. He apparently had "a suspicious object" with him. Further investigations are now underway.
