The number of injuries in the Real Madrid squad is increasing. Coach Carlo Ancelotti is therefore less than enthusiastic about the Champions League reform and the resulting extra workload for his players.

"If the people in charge don't start thinking about players getting injured because they play too much, then we have a problem," said Ancelotti, expressing his concern. "I ask them to think about reducing the number of games to have more attractive competitions!"
