Frustrated by a five-year legal dispute with the senior citizens' association, a 64-year-old man came up with a humorous idea. Now he came out of the closet with a phone call to the "Krone" editorial team and explained the motive for his "campaign" against the "gray panthers" of the ÖVP.

"Hello, I'm the wanted poster writer from Linz," a male voice answered the Krone phone on Wednesday. And after a fact check, it is clear: the caller is indeed the author of the abusive posters that have been put up in Linz since February, causing puzzlement and smiles.
