Run over by tractor trailer: senior citizen (75) dead

Tragic traffic accident in Lower Austria: A 75-year-old woman was run over by a tractor-trailer in the municipality of Obritzberg-Rust (St. Pölten-Land district) on Saturday morning. She died of her injuries a short time later in hospital. 

The woman was riding her bicycle on a dirt road. When a tractor and trailer driven by a 48-year-old woman came towards her, the 75-year-old got off her bike at an intersection and tried to walk past the tractor, the police reported. 

She was hit and run over by the trailer. According to the police, the tractor was traveling at walking speed. The 75-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she succumbed to her injuries.
