Pet sitter ruins car during illegal exit

Instead of taking care of a vacationer's velvet paw, the cat sitter started her car and caused an accident. The woman was reported to the police.

A 29-year-old woman could not believe her eyes when she returned to her house in the Dunkelsteinerwald in the district of Krems after a vacation lasting several days. Her car was completely scratched on one side. However, the mystery surrounding the damage to the paintwork was quickly solved: All the police officers had to do was go to the neighbor's house.

Stepped in due to illness
The resident there had been asked by the woman to look after the cat while she was away. However, because the neighbor fell ill at short notice, she asked a friend (55) to stand in as a pet sitter. She not only looked after the paws, but also found the car keys. An accident occurred during a drive. The 55-year-old was reported to the police.
