Car driver crashed moped and drove off

A hit-and-run traffic accident occurred on Thursday evening in Nestelbach in the Ilztal valley in eastern Styria: a 15-year-old moped rider was hit by a car and crashed - along with her friend (14) on the pillion. The girls had to be taken to hospital. The car driver drove off without stopping.

On Thursday at around 7:15 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was riding her moped - with a friend (14) on the pillion - on "Eichberg Straße" in Nestelbach in Ilztal and wanted to turn left towards the sports field. 

While turning, the moped rider was hit by a car behind her and crashed. But instead of stopping to help the girl, the driver of the car simply drove off. It is said to be a silver VW Passat with HF license plates. 

The girls were injured to an indeterminate degree and taken to Graz Regional Hospital.
