“No-go”: civilian drone interfered with fire department operation

A trailer combination overturned in Pischelsdorf on Monday. While the occupants were largely unharmed, the firefighters were annoyed: a civilian drone flew over the area without permission.

Shortly before 12 noon on Monday, there was an accident on the B 54 near a supermarket. 18 members of the Pischelsdorf volunteer fire department immediately rushed to the scene. For unknown reasons, a trailer combination had crossed into the oncoming lane and overturned. One of the cars even ended up on its roof.

A stroke of luck
The occupants were lucky: they were able to free themselves from the vehicle almost unharmed. However, while the firefighters were busy with the rescue work, an annoying incident occurred: a civilian drone was circling low above them.

"If a rescue helicopter had approached during this operation, this could have resulted in unnecessary danger or delays, including an aborted landing," the firefighters are appalled. Apart from the safety aspect, filming is also questionable for privacy reasons. "This is a no-go!" writes the fire department on Facebook.
